Kitchen Hacks for Hosting

Even with the pandemic still lingering, we pray that families can still get together during this holiday season. In preparation for guests, we wanted to give you some kitchen hacks that'll be sure to help make hosting a breeze!
UTILIZE AN ISLAND
We love giving our clients large, practical islands in their kitchen spaces. During the holidays, an island can be used as a functional buffet. Move away any seating and display charcuterie boards, platters and more. This allows your guests to conveniently walkaround the island and serve themselves.
*Building Tip: If you'd rather use your island to congregate while hosting, raised bars are a great option. The standard-height islands are better for using the space as a buffet or seated eating space.
CREATE A DRINK STATION
If you don't have a custom station already in your home, having an office nook/desk could be the perfect area for a drink station at your next gathering.
You could always set up a small table off of the kitchen as well. Having a designated drink station allows for easier access for guests to refill their drinks.
DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE FLOW
Make sure to put out items in order with plates, napkins, etc. at the beginning. This helps guests move in one direction seamlessly.
