Creamy Mac & Cheese Recipe: The Ultimate Thanksgiving Side Dish

To add to your spread, we’re sharing one of our favorites: Creamy Macaroni and Cheese that’s guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser. Because no Thanksgiving is complete without a little extra comfort on the plate!

Ingredients:

• 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni (an 8-ounce box isn’t quite 2 cups)
• 2 ½ cups (about 10 ounces) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
• 3 eggs, beaten
• ½ cup sour cream
• One 10.75-ounce can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
• 4 tablespoons (1/2 thick) butter, cut into pieces
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 cup whole milk
• ½ teaspoon dry mustard
• ½ teaspoon pepper

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13 by 9-inch baking dish with vegetable oil cooking spray.
2. Boil the macaroni in a 2-quart saucepan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. Return the drained macaroni to the saucepan and add 2 cups of the cheese. Stir until cheese melts while the macaroni is still hot. Add the eggs, sour cream, soup, butter, salt, milk, mustard, and pepper and stir well.
3. Pour the macaroni into the prepared dish. Smooth the top and sprinkle remaining ½ cup cheese on top. Bake for 40 minutes, until browned and bubbly.
