Valentine's Day is known for its celebration of love and relationships and often times is linked to romantic relationships. But relationships, even those outside of romance, should be celebrated and cherished.
Connection is vital to our success. If you were to ask any successful person about how they achieved their accomplishments, they will say that there was someone behind them who helped get them there. The scriptures even state that God meant for us to have relationships, to not live this life alone. They are a gift that helps us to grow, overcome hardships and be encouraged.
Having connection, true connection, means being emotionally and functionally invested in people. It is not a one way street; it takes courage to love fully and unconditionally. On this Valentine's Day let's not only celebrate our romantic love but the love within all of our relationships. Let's celebrate those who push us and encourage us.
